新加坡拉薩爾藝術學院在亞洲的當代藝術教育領域方面，首屈一指，與英國倫敦大學金匠學院也有密切的夥伴關係，除了共同學位課程，也聯手致力於教學交流與研究計畫等等。在校長史蒂夫‧狄克森教授帶領下，拉薩爾藝術學院致力於成為全球藝術教育、表演、研究的頂尖指標。在這裡，學生得以受教於來自世界各地的專業創意人，從設計師、畫家，到演員、作曲家、舞蹈家、導演、互動藝術家、策展人等等。該校表演藝術類編制有三個大學科系，分別是音樂系、舞蹈系、戲劇系，其中，戲劇系提供四個獨立的大學學位課程：表演、音樂劇場藝術、劇場技術、劇場暨表演（導演與劇本撰寫）；同時，戲劇系也具備一系列的學分課程，包括表演、劇場技術與表演管理。
LASALLE College of the Arts is at the leading edge of contemporary arts education in Asia and works in close partnership with Goldsmiths, University of London, which validates its degree programmes and collaborates on teaching exchanges and research initiatives. Under its President, Professor Steve Dixon, LASALLE has set an agenda for excellence to bring the College to the forefront of international arts pedagogy, practice and research. Students are mentored by international faculty who span a breadth of creative professions from designers and painters to actors, composers, dancers, directors, interactive artists, curators, and many more. The Theatre School is one of three in the Faculty of Performing Arts, along with Music and Dance Schools. It consists of four separate BA Hons programmes: Acting, Musical Theatre, Technical Theatre and Theatre+Performance (For directors and playwrights) It also offers a number of Diploma programmes including Performance and Technical Theatre and Performance Management.

史蒂夫‧狄克森教授是世界知名的教育家、研究者，跨領域藝術家，在高等教育界與專業創意文化產業裡都有傑出成就，並於2012年2月起，擔任新加坡拉薩爾藝術學院第六屆校長一職。過去曾是優秀演員，並擁有多部電影、數位媒體作品的執導經歷，狄克森教授在1991年投身學術領域，並利用媒體與電腦技術來研究表演藝術，很快的受到全球矚目。他極富創意、長達800頁的著作《數位表演》，被認為是該領域最全面性的研究，贏得許多國際獎項的肯定，包括「美國出版協會之最佳音樂暨表演藝術獎」
Profile:
Prof Steve Dixon is a world-renowned academic, researcher and interdisciplinary artist with a distinguished career in both higher education leadership and the professional creative industries. He joined LASALLE College of the Arts as its sixth President in February 2012. Following a successful career as an actor and award-winning director of film and digital media productions, Steve became an academic in 1991. He quickly established an international reputation for his research in the use of media and computing technologies in the performing arts. His seminal, 800 page book, Digital Performance is recognised as the most comprehensive scholarly work on the subject and won international awards including the Association of American Publishers Award for Excellence in Music and the Performing Arts.
