劇情簡介:

才貌雙全的名妓杜十娘,久有從良之志,千挑萬選,選中李甲,經多番波折,好不容易贖回自由之身,卻在返鄉途中遇上垂涎十娘美貌的富商孫富,勸動李甲,以杜十娘換取五千兩白銀。杜十娘知曉被背叛,終是所託非人,憤而怒沉百寶,投江自盡。此時李甲方知十娘所擁之金遠勝孫富,卻為時已晚。

中國自來描寫名妓與文士的故事不少,但女子主動追求愛情的卻不多。李甲丟棄的,是比千兩白銀無價的感情;十娘雖無善終,但其沉江自盡的魄力卻震撼人心,與其說是故事,更像個愛情與金錢的寓言。

 

Synopsis:

The famous prostitute Lady Du is endowed with wit and beauty, she hoped she could have an ordinary life for a long time. After a long searching, one day she met a certified student named Li Jia, and she thought this man would be the one for her. However, things changed after Lady Du redeemed herself from the brothel, because Li Jia bumped into a rich businessman named Sun Fu who had a huge crush on Lady Du and he reminded Li Jia that a prostitute will always be a prostitute. That’s exactly the moment when Li Jia got convinced by Sun Fu, and he secretly accepted the offer of trading Lady Du for 5000 silver. When she finally realized that she was betrayed by her beloved man, that’s why she decided to sink all of her treasures into the river, and eventually herself as well. That was also the moment when Li Jia found out Lady Du was way richer than the businessman Sun Fu, however it was too late.

        There were a lot of love stories about literatus and famous prostitutes back in ancient China, but only very few women would make the first move when it comes to love. The literati Li Jia had not only abandoned countless wealth, but also a priceless love. Though Lady Du doesn’t end up with a happily ever after, nevertheless, the resolution to drown herself is absolutely shocking and impressive. The story of Lady Du is more like a parable of money and love than just a story.

本戲呈現了女人與男人在愛情與其他利益相衝突時,選擇上的差異;並探討社會禮教、制度環境對個人的生命態度與思維情感之影響。試圖將傳統戲劇舞台程式的虛實相間之寫意法則,與當代劇場中的各項元素彼此碰撞,創發新的戲劇語彙,通過古戲今詮對普世人性的探討,映照當代自由、多元與涵容的時代與人文風貌。表現形式是本演出的最大實驗與探索。以聲音、音樂性、姿勢、動作做為主要敘事,從中、西方文本與舞台表達上的差異,尋找融合可能性,企圖重構一個「音樂文本與舞譜文本合奏共鳴」的新文本。

 

The play illustrates the intrinsic differences between man and woman, while they encounter the vital point to choose love or fortune, as well as explore the influences of social decorum, institution and environment on personal concept and emotion. It attempts to mix the lyric style of empty-and-substantial complementation, which is a formal principle of the traditional stage, with various elements of contemporary theater and invent new theater vocabulary, when the modernized drama of old age delves into universal humanity, reflecting the freedom, diversity and open-mindedness of contemporary culture. The most ambitious experiment and exploration of this work lies in the form of performance. Based on vocal craft, music, gesture and movement, it sets out to merge the differences of body, mind and ways of expression between Chinese and western cultures, to re-establish a new text of “the resonance of musical and dance notation.”

劇情簡介:

《孝義圖》本自《下河南》,是一個插科打諢、丑戲為主的老戲。內容描述何士明長相極醜,作人差勁,卻妄想娶高家的美麗小姐作妻,於是請來媒婆,要她幫忙說親。媒婆本百般不願,後來還是上高家說媒,花言巧語騙對方要成親的不是惡名昭彰的何士明,而是其弟何士文。何士明因夢見祖父教誨,潛心向善,最後就順著媒婆的話替弟弟和高家小姐完婚,皆大歡喜。原來的本《下河南》就是真正的胡鬧戲,笑鬧、逗趣、低俗,柏君老師深感不妥,故著手重新發想,編創出現在的《孝義圖》,教育意義變重,藝術色彩也提昇了。

 

Synopsis:

“The Dream of Virtues” is an adaptation of the play “Go South to Henan”, an old comedy with playful languages and funny dialogues. In the story, Ho Shi-ming is an extremely ugly man with terrible personality who daringly dreams to marry the beautiful daughter of the Kao family. Therefore, Ho asks the matchmaker to propose the marriage for him. At first, the matchmaker is reluctant but ends up going to Kao’s family to propose the marriage. The sweet talker lies to the family that the proposed groom is not the infamous Ho Shi-ming but his younger brother Ho Shi-wen. Later Ho Shi-ming dreams about his grandfather. In the dream he is admonished and given a lesson of virtues. He is determined to be a upright and kind person. In the end, Ho Shi-ming follows the lie of the matchmaker and holds the wedding for his brother and lady Kao. The play finishes with a happy ending for everyone in the play. The original story “Go South to Henan” is simply a play with funny, comical and vulgar plots. Director Bo-chun Li strongly thinks it is not very presentable, so he adapted, edited, recomposed the story and came up with “The Dream of Virtues.” The new story is now with more educational depth and higher artistic value.

泰國朱拉隆功 - Pornrat Damrhung

編導簡介:

蓬哈特教授朱拉隆功大學藝術學院的劇場藝術研究所主任。過去二十年間,她嘗試以研究及舞台作品探尋出將傳統的東南亞表演者、故事、舞蹈以及音樂,融入現代演出,以期能引起現今觀眾共鳴的方法。無論於國內外,她都曾獲得許多捐款及研究獎金,近十年來,更常於海內外各地搬演自行創作或與其他人合作的作品。除此之外,她也進行許多其他領域的創作與教學,像是泰國傳統舞劇、木偶戲、設計、青少年劇場以及文化管理等。她也在泰國及其他國家的研討會上,發表過關於搬演或教學泰國傳統舞劇的過程中,如何確保其中旺盛續航力的新方法,並以英文及泰文出版了許多與上述領域相關的文章及專書等著作。

 

Profile: Pornrat “Khru Oui” Damrhung is chairperson of the master’s program in dramatic arts at Chulalongkorn University's Faculty of Arts.  For two decades, her research and stage work has sought to discover new ways to integrate traditional Southeast Asian performers, stories, dances, and music, into contemporary performances able to move today's audiences. She has received many grants and fellowships in Thailand and abroad, and in the last decade, has staged or collaborated in staging many productions in Thailand and other countries. Among her other areas of work and teaching are classical dance drama, puppetry, design, theatre for young people, and cultural management. She has also presented many papers at conferences in Thailand and around the world that have dealt with new approaches to teaching and staging classical dance drama in ways that will ensure its thriving survival, and published many articles and several books in Thai and English on these topics.

導演   Le Quy Duong

Le Quy Duong1990年,從越南國立戲劇暨電影大學得到藝術學士學位,當時主修的是戲劇評論;隨即於1994年到澳洲繼續向上攻讀戲劇導演藝術,並且於1998年從澳洲國立戲劇藝術研究所得到畢業文憑;然而Le Quy Duong卻從沒有停下學習的腳步,他同時也在2003-2004年間從洛杉磯好萊烏電影學校得到電影導演的學位。自畢業之後的二十年間,唐先生對於國際藝術上的發展與各國之間的文化交流皆做出了重大的貢獻,尤其是透過他主持的VACEP越南藝術文化交流計畫才進而促成了澳洲越南英國法國與美國之間的頻繁藝術交流。

Profile:

Duong first arrived to study in Australia in 1994. He graduated with Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Criticisms from Vietnam's National University of Theatre and Cinema in 1990 and with a Graduate Diploma of Dramatic Art in directing from Australia's National Institute of Dramatic Art in 1998. He also graduated in Filming Directing from the Los Angeles Film School in Hollywood, CA, USA in 2003-2004. During the last twenty years, Duong has made the vital contribution to the development of international arts and cultural exchange, especially between Australia, Vietnam, UK, France and US through his VACEP in australia, Lequyduong Pty. Ltd and My Phat Pty., Ltd in Vietnam.

Profile:

Mr. Le Duy Hanh is one of the most well-known playwrights of Vietnam. He was award a National Medal of Vietnam Government for outstanding achievement in playwriting. His works are claimed for highly experimental and innovative theatre. “Dien Kich Mot Minh” is one of the most prominent plays for one performer.

導演 - Ricky Abad - WSugat

導演簡介:

社會學家、劇場創作者,這兩種領域他都專精。他取得福特漢姆大學社會學博士的學位後,隨即在雅典耀大學執教。隨後,加入了菲律賓文化中心的菲律賓劇團,經常在提尼歐與盧昂欣執導的古典劇目裡擔任演員。1984年,他成為「Tanghalang Ateneo劇團的藝術總監這個劇團的成員多為雅典耀大學的學生在他的帶領下成為國內頂尖的劇團之一厄拜德的許多作品特別是世界名劇的演出往往透過社會學的角度觀察人與地方串連菲律賓亞洲與西方的表演形式,同時融合兩者,創造出新風貌。由於這些出色的製作以及社會學研究上的成就,使他獲頒許多獎項︰2001律賓首都銀行傑出教學獎、2005年雅典耀傑出研究獎2007Aliw最佳導演獎2009年菲律賓首都銀行持續頂尖與服務獎同年由於他在人文領域的貢獻獲得雅典耀終身成就獎導戲之外厄拜德在藝術學院教授導演,也在社會學系與人類學系教授研究方法。

 

Profile:

Ricardo Abad is a sociologist and theater artist, and the fusion of these two fields informs his everyday professional life.  Soon after completing doctoral work in sociology at Fordham University and starting out as a teacher at the Ateneo, Ricky joined Teatro Pilipino at the Cultural Center of the Philippines, acting mostly in classical plays under the direction of Rolando Tinio and Ella Luansing. In 1984, he became Artistic Director of Tanghalang Ateneo ,  a company he has nurtured to become one of the leading school-based theater companies of the country. Many of his projects, particularly productions of world drama, entail a hybrid of Filipino/Asian and Western forms linked by a sociological view of people and place.  These productions, plus his sociological achievements, have helped him earn the Metrobank Outstanding Teaching Award in 2001, the Most Outstanding Scholarly Work Award from the Ateneo in 2005, the Aliw Award for Best Director in 2007, a Metrobank Award for Continued Excellence and Service in 2009, and a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Ateneo in 2009 for his contribution to the Humanities. When not directing for Tanghalang Ateneo, Ricky Abad teaches directing at Fine Arts and research methodology at the Department of Sociology and Anthropology.

桐朋學園藝術短期大學教授,負責戲劇的主修課程。就讀京都大學時,就此跟戲劇結下不解之緣。1993年在京都成立八點半劇團(劇団八時半,現為東京office 白沼劇團(office 白ヒ沼)團長。鈴江的劇作高達五十多部,重要劇作如下︰《切成四角的直球》(『区切られた四角い直球』獲得1989Cabin戲劇獎)、《友人來訪》(『ともだちが来た』,獲得1995OMS戲劇獎)、《凋落的水果》(『零れる果実』獲得1995年蠶繭戲劇獎),以及《螢火蟲》(獲得1996岸田國士戯曲賞)。大部分的劇作都由他親自執導。自編自導之外,他偶爾會在自作中客串演出。鈴江的劇作已有英文、德文、俄文、印尼文等譯本,也在日本以外的國家演出過幾次。「Tanghalang Ateneo劇團雅典耀大學戲劇及藝術系共同製作的《螢火蟲》,則是鈴江的劇作首度在菲律賓亮相演出。

Profile:

Suzue Toshiro heads the Drama Program of the Toho Art College of Drama and Music where he is also Assistant Professor.  He first encountered the theater while he was a student at Kyoto University, and in 1993 founded in Kyoto a theater company called the Hachi-ji Han.  He now leads another theater company in Tokyo called Office White Mountain.  Suzue has written over 50 plays, the principal ones being “Straight Fast Ball Divided into a Square” (Cabin Drama Award, 1989), “My Friend Has Come” (OMS Drama Award, 1995), Spilled Fruit (Theater Cocoon Drama Award, 1995), and “Fireflies” (Kishida Kunio Drama Award, 1996). He writes and directs almost all of his works and occasionally plays as an actor in them as well.  His plays have been translated into English, German, Russian, and Indonesian, and have been performed several times outside Japan.  The Tanghalang Ateneo/Ateneo Fine Arts production of “Fireflies” at the Ateneo de Manila is his first appearance in the Philippines.

泰國布拉帕 - Nikorn_director

編導簡介:

泰國八乘八劇團的導演、編劇及演員。畢業於曼谷法政大學,在法國賈克‧樂寇國際戲劇學校研習肢體動作,是2010年泰國文化部Silpathorn Award的表演藝術類得主,也獲得國際青年藝術家獎的肯定,該獎向來是泰國最具聲望的至高榮譽。


2007年起,尼功於布拉帕大學擔任客座教授,教授表演與導演。最近,尼功獲得亞洲文化協會藝術家獎助金,將會在今年秋天到紐約待上半年時間。

Profile:

Nikorn Sae Tang is the director, playwright and actor of the “8x8theatre” in Thailand.  He graduated from the Thammasat University in Bangkok, Thailand and studied physical movements at the Lecoq School in France.  In 2010, the Office of Contemporary Culture and Arts (a branch of the Ministry of Culture) in Thailand awarded Mr. Nikorn Sae Tang the Silpathorn Award in Performing Arts, the National Young Artist Award, which is considered as one of Thailand’s most prestigious honors.  Since 2007, he has been a guest-lecturer in Acting and Directing at Burapha University. As the recipient of an Asian Cultural Council Artist Fellowship, he will spend six months in NYC from this fall.

編導簡介:上海戲劇學院導演系系主任、教授、博導。長期從事表導演藝術教育、創作及研究工作。已執導各類戲劇作品六十多部,其中包括話劇、音樂劇、歌舞劇、人偶劇、實驗戲劇以及廿多個不同劇種的中國戲曲。囊括了中國所有國家級舞臺藝術獎項,被授予「新世紀傑出導演藝術家」。盧昂教授創作研究的主要領域和方向為:中國傳統戲曲與西方現代話劇的相互融合與借鑒,出版導演專著有:《東西方戲劇的比較與融合》、《導演的創作》、《國際導演大師班》以及近百萬字的專業論文。

Profile:

Lu is a professor and chairman of Directing Department at Shanghai Theatre Academy in China. He has been active in the fields of directing and teaching of directing for a long time. Lu has directed more than 60 theatre works of different kinds, including modern drama, Western opera, dance theatre, puppet, experimental theatre and more than twenty different local genres of Chinese opera. Lu Ang has obtained all the awards in stage art issued in the People’s Republic of China, and he was awarded ‘the new century brilliant director. The main field in which Professor Lu Ang studies and creates is fusion and comparison of eastern traditional theatre and western modern theatre. His monographs include Comparison and Fusion of Eastern and Western Theatre, Director’s Concepts, The International Master Class and other publications of nearly one million words.
